Babes at Arthur's Acres: A Ride for Rescue
Back in June, we had the absolute joy of welcoming the Babes Ride Out community to Arthur’s Acres for a special charity ride through the Catskills, ending right here at the sanctuary.
The event, Babes at Arthur’s Acres, brought together 25 riders for a beautiful day of community, compassion, and connection — all in support of the animals who call Arthur’s Acres home.
We were thrilled to learn that the ride reached capacity very quickly, which was such an exciting reminder of how many people are eager to show up for the animals in creative, meaningful ways.
Riders met in the morning before setting out on a scenic 30-mile ride through the Catskills, making their way to the sanctuary for a guided tour, quality time with the rescued residents, and the chance to experience the magic of Arthur’s Acres firsthand.
And they had a wonderful time. Winslow even had his very own personal kissing booth going, making sure everyone left with a little extra love. The group has already requested to come back next year with double the group size and a longer sanctuary experience, which means so much to us.
There is something really special about seeing people come together in such a joyful, intentional way for the animals. Whether someone arrives by car, motorcycle, or muddy boots, what matters most is the heart they bring with them — and this group brought a whole lot of heart.
We’re so grateful to Babes Ride Out for choosing Arthur’s Acres as the beneficiary of this ride and for helping raise awareness and support for compassionate animal rescue. Events like this help us continue saying yes to animals in need, while also introducing new people to the residents and their stories.
