Beatrice’s Story Comes to Life

Many of you have already read Beatrice’s story.

You know pieces of what she survived, how she was found and the long, complicated road that eventually brought her to Arthur’s Acres. You know that before sanctuary, Beatrice spent years without the care, freedom and dignity every pig deserves.

But some stories are felt differently when you can see them.

Today, we’re sharing Beatrice’s story in video form, a visual telling of how she found her way from abandonment and uncertainty to safety, care and a home where she will be known, respected, and loved for the rest of her life.

And while Beatrice’s story begins in heartbreak, we promise this video is not all sadness. There is lightness, joy, tenderness and even plenty of laughter woven throughout... including some hilarious bloopers at the end that you absolutely won’t want to miss.

This video walks through Beatrice’s journey: the circumstances of her rescue, the people who answered the call, her first steps toward safety, and the moment she finally became part of the Arthur’s Acres family.

It is about rescue relationships. It is about community. It is about the belief that pigs are not objects, punchlines, or food but they are individuals with feelings, memories, fears, needs, and the ability to heal when finally given safety.

Beatrice has already survived so much. Now, her new life begins.
