Meet Ginger & Rusty

In this video, meet Ginger and Rusty, two young rescued kunekune piglets who are now safe, loved, and settling into their new life at the sanctuary.
Come along with Todd for Ginger and Rusty’s rescue, just down the road from Arthur’s Acres.
We were first called to help find them a new home, but after visiting, it became clear they needed immediate care, proper nutrition, safety, and a safe place to heal.
Now, Ginger and Rusty are full of life, completely rambunctious, and already showing us exactly who they are. Ginger has stepped into her role as protective boss lady, while Rusty is soaking up every bit of love and attention he can get.

For now, they are still in quarantine while we wait for their stool sample results to come back. Once quarantine ends, they will begin the process of meeting the rest of their kunekune family.
Watch as Ginger and Rusty settle in, cause a little chaos, and begin their next chapter at Arthur’s Acres.

Why do they smell? Pigs can’t stand being near their own poop, so their area must have been too small. Pigs usually smell quite nice. Poor babies. Now they will be clean and loved.
Absolutely wonderful. Thank you for taking them and giving them a new lease on life. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰🥰🥰
